when you hear that a campaign raised 30 million $ in 3 months ,
and 700.000 in 3 days ,,,
and there is 1000's of people who need the basics of life , and they cant find it ,
then can we ask the question about ,,, is there something wrong with people?
is it kind of business not donations?
will the donators gain any thing in return?
is there any one who is in need for a medical help ? that can be helped with this money? or donations instead of winning the elections ?
how come i win the elections of the people with their money ?
is there something wrong?
is it bad to think about the poor and needy ?
am i asking the right questions?

it is the right questions. Many businesses send money to charity to look like they care and as a tax incentive, not genuine altruism. Many charities then squander the big donations in administration costs and PR. We should always think of those in need - it makes us human.

@Salamnda Yes if we use our resources properly we could all do alright. At present it's like being in a lifeboat sharing one ship's biscuit between ten of us and seriously considering cannibalism, while someone has a full food hamper to himself at the other end of the boat.
