Today I woke up determined before 7 in the morning. I am listening to all the birds chirping away without any restraint, and they are letting this vibe out that they are very happy Autumn is here.
It's the first time in days that the weather is cooler, the sky is partly cloudy, there is a melodious humming and a sweet aroma in the air, the radio is turned to the Akashvani channel where beautiful classical music is playing......
This is a clear sign that Autumn has arrived. The most enjoyable time of the year.
How do you know that Fall has come to your place? Share your thoughts and experiences. We would all like to know how this season is in different parts of the world.

You have given a really soothing description, although in Delhi you hardly get to see a clear sky. Its usually a thick blanket of pollution covering the entire scenic beauty. I love the picture attached with the post. I hope i would get to see a similar view someday.
Its usually autumn for me when my skin turns a lot more drier and my expenditure on body lotions and other cosmetics hikes up. Lol

haha, that's observant! Ur right, our skin becomes drier and the use of body lotion goes upscale.
Over here we can still see the clear sky but not when you are near the Ganges. During sunset, the Sun goes down in a blanket of dust before it even touches the top of the buildings.
I also hope to see an autumn like the one in the picture @shivuspeaks It's every city dweller Indian's dream!

@shivuspeaks yes, particularly about reducing carbon and particulate emissions. There are government laws for that, but only about 1% of the rule breakers are justifiably prosecuted.

You are lucky to experience arrival of autumn over there. Our area is densely populated and chirping of birds is no longer to be heard in the morning. May be due to massive urbanisation and radiaton emitting mobile phone towers, sparrows have sadly disappeared from our area. Even crows are seen less in numbers. Only pigeons are seen and no one wants to entertain them and push them away from their houses.
Morning temperature has come down which hovers around 22° C but day temperature is touching 36 degree C.
Hopefully, by the second half of October wearing will further cool down and autumn season will start in the right eatnest. Summer season trees will start shedding their leaves.

@ria1606roy - What to talk of migratory bird, even local birds are disappearing at an alarming rate because natural habitats are coming to naught.
Migratory birds come to Delhi in the month of February, when winter starts receding.
Yes, you are right that still we get to see some unusual birds, may be they forget their way and land at our place or may be someone who keeps those birds in cage forgets to lock the cage and they fly away.

@dpk262006 haha....truly lost birds. On a more serious note, yeah. With nature disappearing around us, the consequences are not good.

yeah it will come there. The recent urbanization and cities with dense populations did reduce the number of natural habitats of even common species. It's sad. You know, 10 years ago, even more birds came here. You could see several kinds of migratory and colourful birds in the vicinity all year round, especially in this season. Their numbers have reduced so much after the felling of trees and rise of residential apartments. But I still see an unusual bird now and then.

@ria1606roy I think so too. But when I lived in Vegas, we didn't have many trees that changed colors as most of the trees are pine or palm trees.

yeah, the most beautiful thing you see is trees changing color. Fall is the most beautiful season in the whole world.

It is easy in South Florida--the high temperatures go from the mid 90s to the mid 80s.

@ria1606roy - Autumn starts when I tell it to start. (Don't I wish...) I plan always to start autumn in July of the year when the temps get to around 100 degree or more. So far, my method is not working too well.

@Ragnarok8 We really don't have we used to know the 4 seasons. Humid or rainfall are typically what we have.
