A know that a galon of water a day sounds like a lot but it really isnt and its worth it. I saw a post of a 45 year old woman who drank a galon of water a day for 4 weeks straight and she took a before and after picture.
Before drinking a galon a day you could see bags under her eyes, a few wrinkles on her face and her fash looked a bit pale and flushed. After the month her bags were gone, her face had more color and the wrinkles were barely noticeable and if the water itself reversed her age a bit. She looked healthier overall and from simply drinking water! Im going to try and do the same!

Don't do it, and don't believe all you read, my mother was hooked on water and because of this was often rushed into hospital...WHY?...she was actually drowning herself, by washing all necessary minerals, vitamins, and more from her body, causing many organs to malfunction, all these salts and chemicals your body needs, then had to be replaced artificially.. your body is self-regulating, if you're thirsty it will tell you, much of the fluid it needs comes from your food and normal drinking habits, just cut back on the cokes and chemically adulterated fizzies.

folks tend to o'erlook the fact that our bodies 're made up 'f salty water - saltier 'n the sea. too much water is worse'n not 'enough. it'll through yer whole system outta whack. now, if'n she was dehydrated 'n her body loaded with toxins, i can see why it might'a benefited her. personally? i'd say she was jest full 'f hooey.

Water is indeed good for you, but not a gallon a day. It is eight glasses a day, you can drown yourself if you're drinking too much of it. A good amount of our bodies is made up of water true, but you have to be careful.

It depends on your body weight. I read about it from multiple sources a while ago and they have a chart according to body weight, and stressed not to go over what was on there. I can do a gallon easily and it's not even what they recommend for my weight.

@OneOfMany I don't think it has to do anything with weight, drinking too much especially a gallon is not good for you. Maybe if you sweat a lot and doing something, but if you are addicted to water like another person that mentioned it here you can end up in the hospital.

Water flushes out toxins and helps nutrients reach all the cells of the body properly. Drinking it is the best rejuvenation there is .

I know that drinking water is good for your health, but, a gallon seems too much for me, and, also, too much water is not good for health either, since it delutes much of salts and minerals in blood, necessary for the cells to work well. Before trying doing this, consult a doctor.

@BACONSTRIPSXXX Yes, but it may be harmful, because it drains valuable minerals and salts out of your organism. Remember that you receive some of the water daily dosis also from food, fruits and beverages like coffee, tea or sodas. I drink much water myself, but, I think that before begining with a program like this, you should talk to a doctor, to be sure you will get actual benefits from it.

There could be other reasons. Not just water. Drinking water in moderation is good but we should not load our kidneys

a lot of before and after pictures are taken on the same day at different postures. Frowning, slouching, and other bad posture makes you look old and tired. Standing straight with your head back, shoulders straight, smiling, and different lighting will make you look thinner and younger. It's actually interesting how they fool the eyes.

Blast your damned before and after pictures! I need hard, scientific evidence rather than mere speculation! That being said, I don't think science is needed to prove that drinking one gallon a day is not going to be good for most peoples' bodies. Even the 8 glasses a day rule is too much, I bet.
It's just better to let your homeostasis tell you when you need to drink in my opinion - that is, just drink when you're thirsty. Just drinking extra water is not going to be a panacea at all, if you're looking for better health, you know.

I sure do hope she ate at least a meal a day as well, a month without food would be really hard on anyones body.

I know when I was in California, I drank water, after water, maybe not a gallon but it was close. Now back in the UK I'm not drinking enough water and I know I should be.

It depends on your body weight. There are charts out there and they recommend the amount you should drink. I'm actually at the gallon and a quarter mark, but I drank a gallon a day for a test for several weeks and I lost weight, slept better, and didn't eat as much. The only negative was the times I went to the toilet increased! It also takes a lot to do. Plus you consume water in the food you eat, so sometimes you can get more liquids than you need.
