why would you pay to loose what you paid to gain,,,

we always do our best to gain knowledge and we even pay lots of money to have the education that will help us to get to where we want, think of it as fueling your mind ... then we can see people who pay more money , to loose that mind, when they pay money to get drunk . they loose their mind , the even can walk naked in the street or even sleep on the street , or do things that never can be done if you used your mind that you paid a lot of money to feed not sure if i was able to tell you exactly what i am thinking about but this came to my mind when i was in Malta , i passed by some discos and bars , where people barely see where they step and some throwing up , others carried by their friends who already drunk to , some walking like blind and keep falling or bouncing from the walls,,, what do people pay money to loose their minds ? while the pay money to get education
