You may come across many YouTube videos teaching you how to create a best out of the waste products which we generally throw. I have tried one such idea of using disposable plastic spoons to create a night lampshade and it turns out to be very attractive. If you have ever tried making any creative stuff out of waste or have ever come across anything like that which you would love to try, do share it. Would love to get some creative ideas

Oh wow, I had no idea you could make something that awesome with plastic spoons! I'm not that resourceful or creative. I think the last thing I made was turning an empty tissue box into a plastic dispenser.

@anushreem the smaller one is a toddy container made of terracota that I picked up from the street and the larger one was thrown by someone..I painted them both using plaster of paris to cover the holes and thread to cover the slits and painted on it..

@mkrnex I can think of exhibiting it instead of auctioning.

Some how i have a lot of ideas when it comes to political restructuring or controlling macroeconomic influences or even some tech stuff! But not many when it comes to creative stuff . Still i'll take a swing at it cozz u really seem to have a flair for this thing ( BTW, totally awesome pineapple lamp there! Kudos to you lady! )! Umm, you could try to make something of plastic bottles? Some products some in some really fancy plastic bottles ( shampoos, cokes, etc ). Maybe you could get an inspiration from one of those? Since they get thrown away anyways

@anushreem Well then there you have it! There is a good but smelly way of getting ideas- taking a long stare at your dustbin! That should help

Yes, I have tried making planters from plastic bottles. Just cutting the Upper half of a plastic coke bottle and coloring it.

The lamp looks incredibly beautiful and till you disclose about the material used in it, it is not easy to figure out that the lamp has been made of disposable plastic spoons. The lamp speaks of your creative talent. Keep it up. I am not so creative.

This is a great lamp. I will have to look up the Youtube sight that shows these instructions. I like to recycle or repurpose what I can.

What a wonderful idea, and very attractive. I turn old buckets into plant containers with just a few holes made in the bottom.;
