My 4 year-old niece said, "Tears are flowing from my eyes like a falling rain, I just cannot control them".

In China, a lot of kids are actually brought up by their grandparents instead of their parents, as young couples are too busy to take care of their kids. They have to go other cities to earn money in order to support the whole family or just for living better.
My sister and brother-in-law have no special skills to live in the countryside, so they leave my little niece at home and go to work in a big city. They will come back to see the kid in every holiday. This time they came home for the 7-day National holiday. My niece, the 4-year-old little girl, was so pleased to stay with her dear parents.
Yesterday, it's time for the couple to return the city. I felt very sad when seeing the little girl crying and running after the leaving bus. At night, the little girl's heart was still hard to calm. Tears kept running out of her eyes. My mother tried to comfort her. She suddenly said,"Grandma, tears are flowing from my eyes like a falling rain, I just cannot control them". We all felt hart-breaking when hearing the words from a 4-year-old girl.

So sad that the kid is not with her parents. Hope they get a job closer to home or they can move closer to work

Yeah, they are trying to buy a house near the city we are living now, and then find a job closer to the house. Hope the wish will soon come true.

Yes, even here in the Philippines , this happens . The couple would have their old parents take care of the child , that's why the child misses her parents , just like your niece .
It's a sad situation , but the parents have to work and she will understand when she grows bigger . Anyway , she's with her grandparents .

@Carol2015 That is true . Here in the Philippines children are left to a parent while the other one goes abroad or both would go and the children would be left to their grandparents .

I really hope such kind of problems can be solved. The government should give more support to those township enterprises, and encourage those ambitious young people return to their countryside to open business there, so there will be more employment opportunities at home and young couples living in rural areas don't have to go big cities to earn money.

Yeah, kids should stay with their parents when they are very young, but at present, it seems to be a little tough to solve this problem.
