What is our world coming to when children kill children? Such a sad story about an 8 year old girl killed by an 11 year old boy, all over a puppy. The boy wanted to see the girl's puppy and she said no. The boy then went home, got a gun and shot the little girl from his own home. The boy was known to be a bully to the girl in the past. I agree with what neighbors are saying about why wasn't the gun locked away in the boy's home? This tragedy could have been avoided. If you have children, that should have been one of the first things you do as a responsible parent. Here is the article if you want to read about it:
The girl's mother said she reported bullying before the deadly shooting in Jefferson County, Tennessee.

@simone10 He was clearly out of control. Sad that no one saw the warning signs until it was too late for the girl he killed

@arthurchappell @Gudheart It is really scary, isn't it? His parents really should have had him in some kind of counseling.

he had his own puppy but wanted to be greedy and wasn't used to getting his own way..his way is to get rid of the competition and now he will probably be tried as an adult. His parents should be held responsible also.

I was so sad to hear about this. I cannot imagine an 11 year old killing someone. This little boy needs to be locked away.

He does have some issues that need to be dealt with, that's for sure. It's really sad for both children involved. The parents knew about the bullying but I'm not sure if they tried to help him or not.

This is a very sad story. The parents should be responsible for this specially if their kid is a bully.

I don't pity the boy but I do think it is sad because he apparently need help and I don't know if his parents tried to help him or not.

Don't even know whom to blame. People nowadays have this tendency to solve everything with violence, and they also know how. The worst thing is children are also allowed to know that.

Children do pick up the habits of their parents, whether the habit is good or bad.

This is so sad. If the neighbor didn't bully her, this wouldn't have happened. No means no. It should've set him straight. I became heartsick for the girl's parents. The boy's parents should be charged with reckless endangerment. The boy will be in juvy for 10 years and then go to prison when he's an adult.

It is sad all the way around. I do place a lot of the blame on the boy's parents.
