Here and there...

(Sorry @hereandthere , this isn’t about you)
I’m a new player when it comes to online social sites. In early 2012, I came across the old myLot while browsing the internet on making money online. The site offered a whole new concept to me. I found that it’s more of an online social site than a money making site. I got hooked; while the earning was a nice bonus, what got me was the idea of socializing online while it’s still possible to stay anonymous.
When the site stopped its earning feature and everyone left, I got confused. I was ready to give up my new found hobby until a trusted online friend convinced me to try bubbling. I could only handle being on one online social site at a time, so I left here to be there only.
When I heard that myLot re-started its earning feature – again, I got confused. All the good memories from the past came back and I was curious. At the same time, I didn’t want to stop bubbling. So now I find myself here and there. I know many others are doing the same, if not simultaneously on even more number of sites. But for me, this is the first time I socialize online on more than just one site – it could be confusing at times.
But it's all good...

@SIMPLYD maybe you used a different email address? maybe the email they sent went to your spam folder?
what if you tried singing up as a new user but using the same user name and password and see what message you get?

@MarshaMusselman My husband is still not well and Bubb has become so slow that I was unable to interact there. Here I can stay only half an hour but I can read and interact with many people, because the site is fast and you do not have to wait forever to see the page refresh and your comment appear.

For a bit of time there, Anna, I thought something bad happened to your husband since you hadn't been on there since about the second of September. I was quite surprised to find you had migrated over to here instead.
May as well stick to the sites that provide a benefit along with the interaction and friendships. Since most of our friends left there a long time ago, things are pretty slow as we all know too well.

I've tried a few social sites before. but I usually struggle to keep up with more than one, although Mylot is very easy to use which makes it easier

I think there are very few who are still on both the sites. As I know, majority have left that site.. You don't get this level of interaction there. I'm actually worried that we may not be able to experience the earlier mylot now that everyone is back after a stint in that B site that promoted robotic interaction!!!

@buddha3 Seems to me most of us have to adjust to this new layout of myLot - returning or new, ex or non ex-bubblers alike...
@MarshaMusselman No worries. I agree with you...

I disagree that the site promoted robotic interaction and I also believe that certain folks got decent interaction on their posts, and with their commenters. Things are just set up differently between both places.
Plus if they hadn't paid so well the first couple of years, then the lesser amount wouldn't seem so bad.
One thing I like about mylot and a couple other sites also is that we get rewarded for the comments we make on posts of others, rather than only comments we've received. It allows us to be more involved in each discussion.
(sorry, Sishy for going OT a little bit).

Enjoy your time at both sites. I am sticking with myLot. The B site has burned too many people.

@sishy7 from what I see people writing about the site here at myLot that won't take long.

I need to get busy and see if there are any posts I'd like to keep in case things do go south even more than they have thus far, Shellyann. I took a lot of time in the past to save all my url's, but that won't do any good if the site goes sour. I'll need to go back through and save the content itself. Not looking forward to doing that at all.

@allknowing As far as I can tell, things are still pretty erratic over there when it comes to redemption.

I am on several sites but this one is my primary one at present. I don't find it confusing but it can be frustrating not being able to be on more than one at a time.

I'm only active here. There's another writing site that I'm on but I've only posted like 1-2 articles there and I hardly log in (mainly because I spend more time here )

@sishy7 Yeah I don't know how the ones who follow a lot of people and have many followers manage here. I don't have that many and already having a tough time managing my notifications!

I am a previous member of mylot too, and when I left here two years ago, I didn't go to any other writing sites, as this is the only one I liked at the time. I still haven't been to any other writing site, but this one, and now that I am back, I wouldn't want to be at any other site like this anyway. I am glad I am back, and that they are paying again.

yeah, that was the plan, to be here, there and everywhere, but there seem to be a lot of instability online.

@sishy7 yes, but, as usual, i'm too late (or too cautious) so it didn't work

I don't have a lot of time to be on both places any given day either, and that's why if I have joined a new site, folks don't see me on certain ones very much. I began several blog sites on blogjob before joining here, but haven't checked back there since then. Last night was the first time in over a week that I checked out a few bubbles and wrote one myself. When I'm there, I can't be here, and vice versa.
One thing that I did before while bubbling was keep track of those I visited with on Evernote. I began a new folder on that cloud server for my mylot visits to help me remember who all I'm hanging out with here so I don't get mixed up between the two.
Eventually, I may need to do the same with blogjob if I ever do much more there than what I have so far.
