I read some news yesterday about how a 2 year old girl went missing from her grandparents home a few days ago. After a day of searching there was no evidence of her whereabouts until one person began searching the field determined to find her.
The good Samaritan found the little girl sleeping in the middle of the field during the day and luckily she was alive and in good condition. She is currently being treated in hospital for dehydration.
It brings tears to my eyes because my niece is only one years old and it breaks my heart to think that that little girl could have been her lost in the field all alone for days.

She was missing for almost 48 hours. She had been playing with her siblings 3 and 4 at their great grandparents home while the mother was moving. She went missing on Friday late afternoon/early evening and was not found until Sunday.

@Shellyann36 That is a huge ordeal for a little one to deal with. I hope it doesn't leave some scars in her psyche.

I am so glad she was found and not hurt. She was dehydrated but it could have been so much worse.

Am just so glad she was found! I could not even begin to imagine the kind of thoughts the parents must be having. Good to know it all ended pleasantly

Right now the mother is not allowed to see her. I guess they are going to do a full investigation on her.

@Shellyann36 Well their daughter is safe, a little more waiting can always be done when the gift is assured. In this case, the warm smile of their daughter. But people need to keep a strong vigil on their little ones.

@Hatley I can imagine how you felt. I can remember losing my eldest one point in a store. My husband and I were at different ends of a store. He comes up and asks me where she is, and I told him I thought she was with him. She was, but she ran off, and he thought she was coming to see me. Thankfully, we found her in the dressing rooms. She was playing hide and seek. Thankfully it wasn't a big store. Part of me thought of being mad, but tears just took over. I was just glad that she was alright.
