Writing, writing, and more writing...

I have written for as long as I can remember. My imagination has always been overflowing with "stuff".
Of course, these days my life is so darn busy (the price of being an adult) I don't have as much time as I'd like to sit and think about writing, but without a job at the moment I'm still able.
I like to write short stories, poems, and lately a lot of fan fiction (though I've done that off and on for quite a long time).
What sorts of things do you like to write?

@xstitcher That's great. There are actually many sites that you can write articles/stories/poetry and earn as well. And I guess you can even write your own books and publish them since you are good in writing stories.

Thank you, @Jlyn10 --I actually have had a few things published--nothing major. They never really sold anything, though.

Well, @Jlyn10 , I have written in a physical journal since the early eighties. I've never really had a "blog" per se, though these days I do have what I guess you'd call "blogs" on tumblr--though I don't write in them daily.
I have taken to writing fan fictions on FF.net, and I have written/posted stories and poetry elsewhere, too. :)

Poetry and short stories. Some folks say my short stories are actually novelettes.

LOL--yeah--I am not sure what exactly the definition of a "short story" is, but while they may not be book length, a lot of my stories have chapters. ;)

@xstitcher I showed one of short tales to folks at a community college group once. Their eyes practically bugged out. Their opinion was that I had a novel going.

We can be creative by writing. Just imagine if we just read books or the news, our mind will follow what is written there. But when it comes to writing , the idea to force whatever messages transforms collectively making us think logically or creatively onto that paper or computer screen. That makes us more alert & active...

@xstitcher,I generally love to write in my mother tongue Hindi. My preferred topic to write about is my own feelings and experiences.I want to write about the days that are gone now.About the people who came in my life and who I have seen and talked to.

Oh yeah, I'm hearing ya. I used to write a ton myself, but work and kids and life have gotten to the point that I don't ever really have the time to write something more substantial. Also, on the rare occasions that I would have time to outline an idea/concept it just never comes together enough to write. Oh well, maybe in the future, when life is a little less hectic. Good Luck with your writing.

Well, no kids, here, and currently no job and having a heck of a time finding one, so I'm glad these writing sites are here (also glad the Lord provides my needs, or I'd be "up a crick without a paddle...)
