I can be quite forgetful at times especially regarding what needs to be done on priority basis...I now make a list , in fact several lists just so that I finish all the chores without forgetting any ! I make a list for daily shopping, one for monthly groceries which I leave on the fridge door so that I can keep adding from time to time. I also make one for all other jobs like electrician, plumber, carpenter and repair jobs , doctors appointment if any that needs to be done..Please share any tips and also whether you make lists and has it been useful to do so.

I do the same, I keep a calendar where I immediately write down appointments. A small blackboard in the kitchen where I write the ingredients I notice are missing and I have to buy. I always make my grocery list and also a "to do" list for household chores.

I have a legal pad by me all the time. I write down discussion ideas, things I need to do, remember the kids to do, things that we need to get, etc. Lists are great.

I guess I manage to keep track of what I need every month because when I reach the shop, I go about purchasing things sequentially. So I start with brushing right? I need a brush and toothpaste, and one set for papa too. Then soaps, then tea, then sugar, then coffee, then oats, then semolina, pulses, blah blah...and finally, washing and cleaning soaps. It is difficult for me to forget anything. I am at the most guilty of buying more than what I need. I mean, I might need just one kg of sugar, but I might just end up stocking two or more. I do that because I am constantly fearing some riots. lol. Work, yes. I too like to do thing sequentially.

@Unforgettable_Raja LOL it can be quite confusing...I make a list and give to my maid when I request her to bring something from the shop or I can be sure things would be mixed up !

I am not good to make lists.
My concentration is very scattered.

It is always better to prepare list of tasks to be done. Someone once told me - 'Palest of ink is sharper than any memory' (meaning thereby that if we have written something, that will last rather than our memory). Our mind cannot store all tasks required to be undertaken, therefore, it is better to note it down.
While going for monthly grocery shopping, we make a list in advance so as not to forget anything. Else, I use my mobile phone calendar for executing a particular task e.g. payment of mobile phone bills/electricity bills/water bills. I sometimes set my mobile phone alarm so as to remind myself about a task.

@kiran8 - Having a Master List is even better idea because it saves your time while preparing the other list.

Yes I seem to be making lists like you so I don't get distracted from my goal and what needs to be done. It's really a nice tool to keep us organized and focused.
I use an app on my phone to make lists and I'm lovin' it.

@kiran8 Used to do it on paper too but I tend to get it crumpled and/or lose it. Good thing there are smartphones nowadays eh?

That's a good idea for when you can't remember what you need to do. I have pretty good memory so I don't make list, I just do what needs to be done. This weekend I plan to catch up on cleaning since I was out of town last week. Hope you are able to finish your to do list.

Lists are very useful. I also make them especially shopping lists. They help me not to pick just anything but those things that i need and hence i don't misuse the money.
Todo lists also helps in time management as one avoids doing other things apart from what you have set to do. It therefore helps meet goals easily

I've recently began making lists as well. I'd go crazy if I didn't! Especially since my memory is so horrible, I'd be sitting around all day trying to remember what I was supposed to be doing!

@rahulvsmokiee Thats great !, I agree when you have a list in hand, there will be less confusion unless you take the wrong list , by mistake
