Today it has been drizzling rain on and off and the wind is blowing.I decided to make corn chowder today,as it seemed like a corn chowder kind of day.
When I was in junior high school, one of my assignments was to make corn chowder.I had never eaten corn chowder before, and when my team and I completed our recipe assignment, I discovered that I really liked corn chowder.
One day after school, I went home and my sisters and I were rummaging through the kitchen for an after school snack. I told my sisters about the corn chowder recipe I learned how to make in home economics class, and together we created our own version of corn chowder.
1 can of cream of mushroom soup
1 can of corn
1 slice of chopped onion
1chopped potato
1/2 cup of milk
Cook together in a pot simmer on low until boiling
Serve
Add grated cheese, crumbled bacon (optional:a few slices of cut ham)
This turned into an after school snack tradition and later we shared the recipe with our families.
Do you like to concoct your own versions of soup?

That sounds great! I have not made corn chowder in a long time! I usually make it like I make all my cream soups. Instead of potatoes, I add corn, but sometimes I have put potatoes in it too.

@sherryeb I got the recipe from a chef at a historical inn, it's the best potato soup I have made and I've tweaked it a bit. It's really good!

The ingredients look so appetising and what more when the soup is ready.
