Any one like poetry

Here is a poem that is from my book. It really bugs me that anytime you show love or emotion to something its seen as a romantic thing. This is about my love of writing, not a guy.
All my thoughts pour out on to you
You know all my secrets.
I can hide nothing from you.
You are my voice.
The voice of my soul
The voice of mind.
You speak when I can not.
You laugh when I am afraid some would hear.
You made me dance when I was afraid someone was looking.
You show me its alright to cry. Writing without you my life would be a lie.

Great job with this poem. A decade ago, I've published a variety of poems in various forms--love, nature, inspirational, general. I really like the symmetry of this one.

Yes i like poetry. I like to write and read all types. The thing about it is that it can have completely different meanings for everyone. It almost never means the same thing to the audience as it did to the author. I can read a poem today and understand it in one way then come back tomorrow reread it and get a completely different meaning...

true I just hate when people assume a reason you wrote it and argue that point with you. my ex assumed it was about him and his ego annoyed me to no end

@LattesAndTypewriters haha that's funny :-) men are crazy like that.. yes that would get under my skin too.. it doesn't make sense to argue the point, he must have desperately wanted it to be about him.. annoying yet kind of flattering in a way...

this could just as easily be about human love as love of writing. It is a lovely moving verse - hope you share more from your poetry too

Lol! i like to read poem as writing a poem needs so much of the skills that I lack. A good writer has great imagination power accompanied by ironical words. But yeah, i write some article in some website. I am from India, so my writing is not that good in terms of English grammer.
