Yeah, and it's a weird story! When I was about 11, my family went on vacation for maybe 3 days.
When we came back, our pool deck was wet, there were wet footprints through the house to the bathroom, and my nailpolish and pogs were missing (but nothing else that we could figure).
Most likely some kids from school, who knew we were going away and that we had a pool, broke in and went swimming lol. It was kind of no fun though... I had a LOT of pogs at the time LOL!

On a family vacation to paris, my father got robbed in the metro.
Someone just took his wallet out of his jeans without my father noticing it. Fortunately, we had some money stored in the hotels' safe, but my father had to cancel all his credit cards etc.
I myself have never been robbed before.

fortunatly i have never been robbed, i have had things "go missing" from my house when a certain person was around and it didnt take us long to piece it together and while this is a sucky situation its certainly not like the fear that must come with actually being robbed

Unfortunately yes. I had the entire contents of my handbag taken, including my car and house keys which were on the same keyring. I had to get the police to drive me home so that I could pick up my spare car keys, but they had to break into the house first! Luckily they gave me a lift back to my car so that I could drive it home!. I had to cancel my credit cards etc too, and the thief had taken GBP 1,000 out of my bank account. Luckily I wasn't liable for it as I had informed the bank. It's a good idea not to keep your house/car keys on the same keyring! :)

I was robbed in my apartment a few years ago. It was a ground floor apartment and someone came in the front door and took my wallet - while I was standing with my back to them doing the washing up at the sink- I didn't even notice till I went to get it a few minutes later. Talk about cheeky!!!! It definately made me lock my doors even when I am home in the day time.
