@LattersAndTypewriters,Thanks a lot for taking so much interest in our religion.Hinduism is not like Islam or Christianity. It's a way of life.We don't have a particular holy book.We believe in the Vedas, but there are millions of devout Hindus who don't believe in them.We worship idols, but we are against idol worship as idol worship is the initial part of the way to God.We are open to The Eternal Truth. You don't need to believe in God to be a Hindu.Ours is an all embracing faith.

that's what I like about it. I also see similarities in Wicca and Sufism.

@LattesAndTypewriters Thanks a lot.One thing more,we don't hate or oppose other faiths. Our sages say,Truth is one.Paths leading to it are many. All paths lead to same Eternal Truth. We have hundreds of sects in our religion, but they never clash with each other.A true Hindu is always a true Muslim and a true Christian.

I am a Hindu. I may not know my religion as well as you. In fact, I think there is so much of every religion, that few can know everything. Especially contextually. I understand only one thing, do not harm another to an extent that you cannot repair the harm done. And do not let another harm you either. To me that is good enough for a religion.
