I posted an image to Facebook (will post here as well) of the cheap-o pumpkin spice waffles I found at Dollar Tree. I also picked up a cup of pumpkin spice dark roast at Dunkin Donuts on my way home from taking Debra to work, so the picture was to show pure pumpkin perfection.
I do love pumpkin spice. It's so heady and fragrant. It's not just cinnamon, which is also good, but the nutmeg bumps it up to soaring heights of flavordom.
I think that's why I like Indian food, too. The heady fragrances and flavors are amazing in the savory spectrum of cuisines.
All I can say is that this is one reason why I love Fall!

I know what you mean. You need to taste pumpkin alone to see if it's the pumpkin you don't like or the combination of spices. I love it all - although I'll eat sweet potato pie without whipped cream when I won't eat pumpkin pie without whipped cream.

@inertia4 Not necessarily. I don't like tomatoes at all, yet I love so many things that are made from and with tomatoes. I have a friend who LOVES sweet potatoes, but won't touch pumpkin, yet both make wonderful pie with an almost identical recipe.

I don't know what it is about 2015 but I seem to have seen references this year more than ever before to Pumpkin Spice in various contexts - drinks, candy, cookies, ... even candles and (I think) notepaper! It has got so that I really don't want to be reminded of that so-American festival of Hallowe'en any longer!

@jerzgirl I've always thought that pumpkin is a little over-rated. It's halfway between a marrow and a melon, anyway and isn't quite sure whether its a rather bland fruit or a slightly sweeter than comfortable vegetable!
Now, brussels sprouts are a different kettle of fish! Have you tried them sliced and stir-fried in toasted sesame oil with some cashew nuts and a touch of sauce made from a little honey with soy sauce?

@owlwings No, I haven't. But, that sure sounds interesting. I'm wanting to try them roasted some time. They have a strong flavor that I want mellowed by something else. I think bacon would be great with them. But, I might try something like that because I'd like to eat them more often. As a kid, I only ate the outer leaves. They were my dad's favorite veggie along with lima beans. As for pumpkin, it's the spice that does it for me. I swap out sweet potatoes if I don't have pumpkin because they have similar taste profiles. But, I did one time have savory pumpkin at a German restaurant in Wurzburg - it was a ravioli dish with a pumpkin sauce. DELICIOUS!!

I've seen pumpkin flavored apple cider at my local Giant Eagle store. I would love to try it this season. I did pick up the limited edition of pumpkin spice Pop-Tarts yesterday.
