Angela who works for a Pizza restaurant in Ham Lake, Minnesota delivered food to 76-year-old Lee during the summer, and discovered he had been living in a small camper with no heat, plumbing or running water. Another person saw him and said he was cold and without plans to prepare for the winter ahead, people decided to take action. A construction company has volunteered to build Haase a small home on his property. . Others helped by buying food for him, and volunteers, including surveyors, painters and electricians, have also contacted him with offers to help. He is retired and lives on his Social Security, his home was destroyed and his son died in a snowmobile accident. He has been surviving on one meal a week and eating pizza on the weekend.

oh that is such a sad story..but it has a happy ending and i'm so glad this woman was the delivery person to have cared enough to get some action going.. Wonder if the others who delivered were young kids who didn't bother to care?

This story had a happy ending already with all the people wanting to help him. Good question about who delivered earlier.

This sounds absolutely horrendous and I cannot see any way that he would have survived the winter without help.

It is really a sad story of a man on social security living out there in the woods in a small camper with hardly enough to eat and no heat or bathroom facilities. How sad that is but now he will be receiving some help. I am sure God will bless these people for helping out.

Yes if the pizza driver had not noticed this would still be going on and one day his body would be found decaying because no one cared about him.

This is a very sad story. Really. How he survived is amazing. And I can only imagine losing a son. He must be extremely depressed over that. But it is great to hear people coming together to help this man. Building him a house on his property.

It is very sad and losing your only child has to be depressing then losing your home to a fire would take its toll on anyone. I am glad that he will now be helped and have a new home with heat and running water.
