Well I had to go to Strong hospital today for my Nephrology appointment. My first visit went really well and the Dr is really nice and knows what he is doing. He told us that the cause for my kidney failure is due to high calcium. I've always had an issue with my calcium since I was born. We have been trying everything to regulate it etc. So now he decreased my calcitrole medication i take for calcium and I have to get blood work every 2 weeks to check on it. I also have to have a kidney ultrasound next month and I go back to see him in December. My appointment was at 930am and we got out of there at 1130am. Went to lunch at olive garden and now we are home. I am just relaxing for the rest of the day as I'm exhausted. Thinking of taking a nap. Hope your all having a great Tuesday.

I am glad that you got somewhat good news, or it sounds good. Like you just need to make an adjustment and then monitor it. I have an appointment tomorrow for my annual cystoscope, I had 5 cancerous tumors removed from the lining of my bladder 13 years ago, so that will be my yearly check up. I hate to get it done, but not getting it done would be more scary. I have to drive about an hour to get to that hospital. keep your fingers crossed for me please!

@Juliaacv Good luck. I've had a scope done before and it wasn't too bad, in and out the same day. I was nervous going in also

@Blondie2222 Thanks, I have to be in the admitting department for 830, and given how nervous I get for this scope, I won't be able to have anything to eat so that I don't get sick. Hoping for good news that I can share tomorrow.

@patsiehatley thank you. I am seeing the nephrology because I have kidney disease due to my heart condition. Hopefully we can monitor my kidney failure so it doesn't get any worse.

Hope you are fully recovered soon - love the thought of a town and hospital called Strong. It reminds patients that strength is what they need.

@Blondie2222 I hope so too. It can be really scary when your kidneys stop functioning.
