@LattesAndTypewriters I'm the same way. I believe in Christanity. When it comes to homosexuality, I believe that God loves us enough to give us freedom of choices. Homosexuality is a sin and God gives us the choice to choose what we follow.
If homosexuals want to follow God, they can't do that, but if they don't then that is their decision. As long as they don't try to change my belief than I won't change what they believe if they do not desire it. They are a person and I'm a person. We all get the right to choose our own viewpoint on benefits and consequences of our actions.
As for the beliefs about women, I'm not sure whether your talking about sexism or something else but if it's sexism, people were made in humility. We will all live and die. Nobody is better than anyone else because we all get the same endgame.

@LattesAndTypewriters That's your belief on homosexuality of course and the Bible does say wives sumbit yourself to your husband but what sort of submit did you interpret that as?
Submitting is like being obedient to your parents yet keeping your own beliefs on viewpoints. Your parents encourage that for healthy growth in your character. In the book of Genesis, there was Adam and God made Eve and the scripture says that Eve was made to be a suitable helper not submissive in a way that she is therefore lower as a woman. Gen 2:20-22 says,
20 So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals.
But for Adam[a] no suitable helper was found. 21 So the Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, he took one of the man’s ribs[b] and then closed up the place with flesh. 22 Then the Lord God made a woman from the rib[c] he had taken out of the man, and he brought her to the man.
Woman were made to be helpers of men not submissive without thoughts. Yes woman are not allowed to speak in the church as a preacher or any of the jobs given to men, but they are not permitted from not doing anything. For example, Deborah was a judge in the Bible and she was a woman.
Mary gave birth to Jesus Christ. Esther became a queen that supported the Jewish race.
Esther 4:16 says "Go, gather together all the Jews who are in Susa, and fast for me. Do not eat or drink for three days, night or day. I and my attendants will fast as you do. When this is done, I will go to the king, even though it is against the law. And if I perish, I perish."
Esther was a woman that God chose. No woman nor man is better than anyone else. It's not only woman that remain silent but also men, but we also open our mouths when necessary for actions.
Proverbs 11:12 reads," Whoever belittles his neighbor lacks sense, but a man of understanding remains silent."
