New Here! Any Tips, Tricks or Recommendations?

I just signed up for a myLot account. I am so new in fact that I have no idea where to even begin.
So, I was hoping I could rally the crowd here to help me out by providing me with a few tips and tricks to get me on my way.
It looks like this could potentially be a cool site to write on, now I just need to know how and what I should and should not do.

@writerdude It's especially true here, where earnings are based on how the community interacts with your posts. 
Feel free to ask if you have any specific questions. There's a lot of us here who are more than happy to help out with that sort of thing.

the site is as much about replying and commenting / talking to others on their topics as creating your own pages so it is more interactive than other such sites where writers just want visits to their own contributions. Welcome and have fun with it all.
