A Reflection on Hurting and Being Hurt

there are times when we become too selfish and narrow-minded thinking how much others hurt us by feeling all the pains they caused for leaving us... but have we ever thought that we might somehow hurt them the same way that made them leave us behind? YES, we are indeed selfish and somewhat arrogant to admit our own flaws and mistakes... ...pointing our own fingers blaming others because we are so blinded by the drama we created ourselves! We are hurt, but don't forget that somehow at some point we also share the same pains...

I've been through this with certain friendships! I've thought about it through and through - and yet I still think it's all their fault (see how arrogant I am?!).

Its only you who can assess the people involved and the situation you are all in

It is not always easy to understand and admit we made a mistake. When we realize this, we should apologize to have pointed our finger toward someone else.

I think lack of sensitivity, consideration, and understanding makes me become nasty. If the friend refuses to acknowledge even after I tell why I hurt, it certainly is goodbye from me with no regrets.

True but we need some time and may be there are those who care about us who would try and help us through this

We are at fault at times. But there are times when the friends are at fault. I don't hurt about loss of relationship as much as my naive attitudes and the time wasted.

That is true. We know how to evaluate people and situations.

So true . Sometimes we are filled with pride that it's us that made them leave us , after all .

Yes and we should always try to have an open mind on the situation

True. Many times we only focus on the fact that our feelings have been hurt, we forget that we have probably hurt someones feelings too.

That is why we should always look at every sides of the coin

I totally agree with you@cherigucchi. Most times we get back what we give out though there are cases when we fall victim of molesters, oppressors and cheaters who just can't help breaking someone's heart any chance they get. I call them toxic. They are no good.

I agree. We all need to go through a certain process of healing then
