The usual dilemma for any mother i suppose!! well, my son is now 2 .. and i am oh so utterly confused ..what to do now??
we have recently moved out of a joint family ( as if it was of any help).. i had to give up on my work to look after my child even though in laws were staying with us.. now its been a long break and i want to go back to work but at the same time , not feeling confident to leave my kid with a nanny..
we have shifted to a small place.. so no day care facility.. at max he can go to a playgroup and be back by 12 noon.. so what will i do till then??
with so many cases happening everyday, I dont know if it is safe to leave the kid with a nanny..
So how are you guys managing??? Any ideas about what i can do??

Its a tough situation.. If you have no proper support system or proper day care you should think of waiting for a while. If the nanny takes good care that would be fine.. if she doesn't behind your back you are stuck . I am just giving you my opinion since I have been through all this myself.

Thanks sofs. . I really appreciate your view. . I am like torn between my work and child. .The problem is how do I know if the nanny is gud behind my back for they all pretend very nice I front of me. . And leaving my child with a stranger for at least 7 hours is a big decision. . R u back to work? ?

I think it would be better to wait till your son starts going to school. It will not be appropriate for you to join a job at this juncture. You see your son's bringing up is more important than you joining a job. Leaving him in the care of Nanny is not a good option, in my view. You never know how she is going to bring your son up.
