Last year my parents gave me life membership to the National Trust (the UK's big heritage organisation/charity). It might not be the most generous gift I've had (my husband spoils me) but it was certainly the most unexpected and cost them around £1600.

@swissheart It means that you can enter all their stately homes, museums and gardens free for life with one guest.

Wow! Generous parents ! Lol.
Me, the most expensive gift I received was a watch. I still keep it with me until now though it stopped working already.

@JaneApril aand didn't they tell you what might be the cause why it stopped working?

@swissheart
I did that already. Actually, it's the second time my watch stopped working. Also, I'm currently using a watch given by my husband.
