Enjoying another trip to the Fresh Market

Most have a fresh market or a farmers market close enough to them that they no doubt also enjoy a regular trip to enjoy the purchase of fresh foods. One of the markets we enjoy near us is just a short trip and has goodies from local farmers. Anything we want that we did not grow ourselves is usually available there. If we made the effort, we could probably purchase only from the local farmers and avoid grocery stores on a regular basis. Do you have local farmers offering fresh vegetables where you are?

Yes, we have a wonderful one less than ten minutes walk away on Saturday mornings. I didn't go much over the winter months, but now it's Spring here in NZ I need to start going again.

I always visit farmers markets to buy fruits, eggs and vegetables, for all the rest I still need to go to the supermarket.

I'm surrounded by countryside and farms yet no farmers market. We do have a section in our local supermarket that sells local produce so maybe that takes the place of a traditional farmers market.

When I was holidaying in the US I got to visit one of those markets. I also remember someone was selling some snacks that they had made at home.

We have a fresh market here and also have what is called a farmers market. My brother and I went one day and were very disappointed. All they had were items local people were selling, no produce at all.

Hi Pat! Yes we have farmers markets here that we buy from. A lot of farmers also have road side stands that we visit. Now that it has gotten colder though our options are few. There is a grocery store here devoted to all local farmers that have organic crops and meat too. A great option.
