Do you like the fact that MyLot lets us see earnings by day?

It seems a trivial thing, but I like the fact that MyLot lets us see earnings by day. It means we can track whether we're gradually improving our performance on the site, what we wrote about on days we did particularly well or poorly, and whether payment rates are shifting overall. I admit that I check my bank several times a day. Updates seem to occur at random times, but I still like the feature. Do you click though and see how your earnings have changed day-to-day? Do you agree that it's a worthwhile feature?

I don't like it... I love it! I'm obsessed with that section of the site!

I do check it often. And then open it up to compare today with previous days.

Yes, I'm a big fan. MyLot always did this and it was possible to see one's daily earnings right back to when one first joined. In the old system, though, amounts were in dollars and cents, whereas now they are to the nearest 1/100 of a cent. Once I had got my head round the four decimal places, I find it both interesting and refreshingly transparent. Another difference between the old system and the new is that in the old system you could lose cents in any of the previous days when discussions in which you had participated were deleted. Now the previous days' earnings seem to be set in stone and, as the owners have said, the system is altogether fairer.

I find the hundreths of a cent amusing, and I enjoy them. Obviously, we're not writing here as a primary source of income, but seeing my earnings go up, even by $00.0001, is validating somehow. Glad we don't lose our earnings if someone gets nuked. That seems like an effort to be fair to those who take the time to comment on others' posts.

My earnings gradually increased for my first month or two here. But after that, it became kind of random. I'm still glad I can see earnings by day, though.

Yes, I like that feature here on MyLot of seeing how much we make daily.

I hope they keep doing it. Epinions started with several updates a day, but dropped down to...I think it was one a day.

Yes, I think it's great. I'm not sure we need it to four decimal places, but it's nice to see the numbers rising.

@TheHorse I could see the point if it was updating in 'real time' but it does seem that the bank only moves in jumps so the four decimal points are pretty silly.

Oh, I like the four decimal places. It's kind of funny in a way, as it's an honest representation of how hard it is to earn money writing on the internet.

It certainly is a handy feature and we always know exactly where we stand in that respect.

@TheHorse This would not be an easy task because the method of calculating the earnings are unknown to us. There are obviously many factors involved because I have had days with less activity that have produced a higher return.

@Asylum I don't mind the "mystery," as long as things generally move forward. As with Bubblews, if we knew the system "precisely," some people would probably "game" they system.

I like trying to figure out what led to a "good" day versus a "bad" day. And making sure that my overall trend is "up."

I think this is really good and we get to understand how much we have to take efforts to reach payment. This surely does help for sure.

I think it's just plain fun to watch the bank move. But I used to like watching clothes spin in the dryer too. In all seriousness, you're right. It is helpful to us. We can learn from our good and not so good days.

I'm not terribly concerned with my earnings, but it's fun to see how my activity varies from day to day. (Yes, I know that earnings aren't an indicator of how active we've been, but in my case it usually reflects how much interacting I've done with other users. )

In theory, there would be at least SOME correlation between how active we've been and how much we earn on any given day, but I understand it's really a matter of how others respond to our posts and comments, and we can't control that.

Like you, I enjoy watching the overall bank go up, even when it's in small increments. And I enjoy being able to go back and see if I'm making progress.

@TheHorse I think you should check it out and see for yourself. You can post anything non-fiction (various subjects like how-to, travel, health, etc.), poetry and short stories. You do have to promote your hubs and interact on the website (forum, Q&A, comment on other hubs).

It is a nice thing that we get to see our progress. Although we do not know what earns more but looking at the progress one can guess I suppose what earns more here - just a thought.

I found that updates are made on 1 hour gaps. Now the next update is after 33 minutes from my message. If you bet then please check it out. And yeah i too check bank at every intervals. But sometimes i earns much less even after being active. I am not getting this website till now. Did anyone of you found bank difficulties?

It may update every hour (at least that's what I've read), plus now and then if there's been a lot of activity. I'm not sure. For me, it's certainly not "every hour." It seems random. But it does update several times a day.
