I have decided not to adult today

I have decide not to adult today, if you need me I will be in my blanket fort (no fuddy duddies allowed), coloring. Yes, I still color. You can get adult coloring books, and I prefer using gel pens. I do occasionally color with crayons, but am a brand snob, I hate generic, and only like crayola, they don't leave crumbles everywhere. Coloring helps me deal with worries, it's soothing, and I enjoy the creation and the ease of it. What do you still like to do, things that aren't really adult? Maybe something left over from your childhood?

I was liking to play in the mud, and I finally became an archeologist to be able to continue.

I like playing in the mud, too, especially if it is in a summer rainstorm.

I too have an adult colouring book and use only my beautiful sharpened coloured pencils in it. I love shading. I may actually come and build my own fort along side you and we can colour in silence together.

I felt like being lazy today and so I watched Spy Kids. I like to watch light, fun movies and not think about the real world.

I am lucky that I have a young child, so I can do just about anything that I want and get away with it, because I am being a good mommy.

@Jessicalynnt LOL - I do like it, but having a child gives me the best excuse in the world to do it without people looking at me like I am weird ... or at least any weirder than they already think I am. It also gets me out of trouble when I am caught going on the jungle gyms at the play places in McDonalds and such.

@purplealabaster Yeah, hubby won't let me do something things since we dont have kids and he says it makes us look weird, but I LIKE doing things like that, like going to the science place and playing.

I love to color, but I still do it in the 'kiddie' coloring books. All those little princesses and cars, and winnie-the poohs. Basically anything the grandkids have.

The youngest one and I were just making paper airplanes a couple weeks ago. Then, we had contests to see who could make theirs go the farthest or do the best tricks, etc. It was fun.

@Jessicalynnt I love jumping in puddles, too. We make a point of doing that every chance we get as long as the weather is warm enough, because we like doing it in bare feet.

@Jessicalynnt @TheHorse But I love a lot of the rose art designs. The child got a container of ... I think it is Crayola smooth glide or something like that, and they are fantastically smooth but can get a bit messy if you are not careful.

I found some amazing ones on amazon, owls, mandala's, fairy gardens, all with lots of tiny details to color (pencils or gel ink I think), I don't think crayons would work well, too fine of details.

Here on the islands things are different but one thing remains the same dough animals or objects. When the nieces and nephews are stuck inside we make dough things and bake them in the oven. After pull out all the paints and paint them. It's fun
