New car needs to go back to the shop

Hubby came home in a really foul mood today. Apparently his new car he just picked up today had a bunch of "check engine" type lights come on while he was driving it home, and his moon roof isn't working. It's an 08 Avenger with very low miles, so we were thinking it was a great deal.. but now he's just PO'd at the situation. It is under warranty, of course. He has a 30 day warranty from the dealer, and an extended 3 year warranty on top of that, so whatever is wrong with it should be covered. It's driving just fine so it doesn't seem like anything serious. Hopefully he can get it taken care of quickly and will have a nice car to last him a good long while. But as we've been going through a lot of car problems lately.. this is just a bit too much for his liking at the moment.

It is also an annoyance to have to take it in to the shop. I am sure it is frustrating.

That happened to my husband awhile back right after he bought a slightly used car., luckily he had a warranty and it was fixed.

It can be an annoyance, but the shop isn't far from where he works, so he can drop it off on his way to work and pick it up during lunch or on his way home. So not a huge deal.

when it rains... i know most folks don't, but did y'all take this auto to yer own mechanic to get it checked out 'fore ya bought it?

No, we bought it from a large dealership. Not the rinky dink dealers who only sell used cars they buy at auctions, but a large dealership that sells brand new cars. So we did not find that necessary... plus we have the warranty on it.

@crazyhorseladycx I think if I had my way I wouldn't have gotten the warranty.. it's just an added expense that probably isn't really needed. But hubby wanted it so there ya have it. I'm sure I'll be thankful that we do have it.

Usually the engine light is only a sensor but it is a headache to have anything fixed right after you get a new car
