Lost control……….MyLot Notifications

WOW I am overwhelmed with all of the notification I receive from friends on MyLot. But now I have lost control of my MyLot Notification box. I come on and see 50+ new notifications in my profile. When I try to answer, read, and respond it starts filling up with more. At times I get lost on which ones I have read and answered. So today I decided it was time to gain back my control.
One by one I checked each notification to make sure it was done. Then I deleted it from my box. This took time to do, but in the end I was happy I had done this. I had missed reading some responses and commenting back.
So now to keep track of each and every notification I delete the ones I have viewed, answered and responded too. I love a clean notification board so it makes it easier to see what everyone has sent to me.
How do you handle all of your MyLot notification to make sure you’ve read and answered each and everyone?

Having only recently joined, I have not experienced that problem. It sounds like a good one.

I check the notifications and open a separate tabs for each discussion and comment on the discussions. I sometimes delete those notifications which i have attended or they are automatically marked as read and slide down in the inbox.

It's a good idea to not have too many going on. That way you can take care of them. Then every couple of days I look at each one individually and make sure I have answered each response.

Great strategy. I should of done that from the beginning but I didn't. I sort of let them pile up and not thinking too much of it until today when there was way too many.

I do the same thing. I will do one and then go back and delete it. If I don't delete them, then I get totally confused as to which ones I have done, and the ones I haven't. I get more back too, as i am doing the ones that are there, and yes it can be overwhelming, but I do get through them. I just figute that the more notifications I get, the more I will make in the end.

@poehere I don't mind doing them, as it is more earnings, and I am all for that. I never get all that many at once except for overnight where I get up to 20, but that is fine, as it might take me awhile, but hey, the more I get, the more it keeps me busy.

@rosekiss I agree with you on this one. During the day they are easier to handle but at night they come all at once. This is what takes more time. Then when you respond you get more from you comments. That when they start blending all together if you don't delete the ones you are finished with first before you go on.

At first I didn't think much of it or really consider deleting them. Then one time I opened up MyLot and I had a lot of messages. When I was answering them more and more keep coming. Soon it seemed like a big mess. That's when I decided to get rid of some and delete some. It helped. But each day more and more piled up so now I deleted them all.

For me personally, I always start at the bottom of the notification page and one by one as I tend to it I delete, and work my way up. This was I don't get lost and then once I reach the top, I am on page for the most part and it's all new notifications.

@poehere Yes, sometimes it can be work, but it beats having to go back and recheck to see if you responded/commented. We all have different ways in which work for us.

@TexanTornado Couldn't agree with you more. Each person has a system that works best for them and they should use this system.

Honestly I do not keep up. I usually go through "explore". I also go to my own discussion and respond to the replies there. I also go to my profile and limit what notifications I get.

That's a great idea. At times I see where one person had like 6 or 7 notifications on my listing. I should do that from now on. Thanks for the idea.

First off, there is no way everyone can respond to every single notification - unless you live on your computer. I have no set way and I don't always get to each one as I'm sure people don't get to all of mine.
It's not a full out race, its a sprint and we should enjoy it and not feeling like we let anyone down if we didn't get to one or two or three or...

Yes I do agree. But if I can't get to one now I would love to come back later and get to it. This way if I delete the ones I have gotten too the next time I can go on and get to the other ones I haven't gotten to. I just started this today and it seems to be working rather well. Lot less to weed through.

Yah I was feeling this way too. Now when I receive new notification it is a clean board and easier to follow and start on. I deleted my old ones and now all I see is new ones.
