A lump on the wrist is better than a lump on the head

I had my annual medical checkup a couple of months back and passed with flying colors, needing no prescriptions or treatments for anything. I simply forgot to mention a lump on my left wrist just below the palm. It does not hurt and has been around for a few months. But, a lump of any kind needs scrutiny at my "advanced" age, so, since my doc was on rotation for Saturday this week, I was able to see him again.
As we expected, it was nothing of any concern. He called it a "ganglion cyst," no treatment required, "a dime a dozen," as he put it.
It was good to get that answer and not think about this little lump anymore.

@enlightenedpsych2 It is good to avoid docs, but I am sold on annual checkups.

Glad it was a false alarm. I have one of those on my knuckles. I have had it ever since my teachers wopped me on my left hand, because I'm a leftie and wouldn't change to my right hand.

Great news. It is always good to get things like that checked out. The mental worrying about something like that would bother me.
(I suppose there is no other kind of worrying other than the mental kind) :)
