Yesterday my mom, my aunty and her daughter were invited at birthday party of my cousin's daughter at a good authority club .She has also invited the cousins of her mother's family. But I and my sister were not invited at the birthday party .I don't know why people differentiate in blood relationships and measures them by their personalities and statuses.

She may have been limited as to how many she could invite and had to decide who to leave out.

@amnabas Even relatives do not treat everyone equal. Which is sad. because they should.

But you were all relatives right ? So why weren't you invited . Oh anyway , don't be sad . If they don't invite you that's okay . There are other birthday parties to come still and i am sure you will be invited .

@amnabas Just ignore them . If they don't like you then don't like them too . You will survive without those kind of people.

This is not very nice from your cousin. I would ask the reason why you and your sister were not invited. If I was your Mom I would have refused.

I wouldn't like to know I was not invited either. Seems strange but there probably was a linit to the numbers allowed...

@amnabas I guess the next time something like this happens you should chose your favorites and leave the others out... That or just forget it and move on.

Oh no its sad to know that they didnt even invited you. I feel really sorry. In such a condition, i would have surely gone to the party and would make her feel herself pity

@amnabas yeah i would have and i had done that. that is the best response you can give i went there and give a present to the bride as it was a marriage and came home infront of them, even without having the food served. guess how much that will make sadness in them lol!

Good ! You will not have to invite them at your birthday party. I dislike pettiness. If I had a good reason to not want to see somebody in your family, I would not invite anybody.

I guess there were times when people want to plan their party or celebration, they tend to forget certain names namely because they have not made a list. Just by thinking their friends is not enough but a proper list will certainly include all the person whom they wish to be there....

If I am not invitied to something . I never care. I just do not invite them when I have something going on. I am not a fancy person and my friends knew that. I also will not spend a lot of money on a present for someone. Makes no sense to me to spend what you do not have.

That's not nice, but don't feel bad about it. I'd give them the benefit of the doubt, maybe they forgot or had limited space or something. There will be more interesting events, don't worry!

sad but this happens really not only in your family but many. We really do not know the reason behind but definitely it is quite disheartening. Just give them the benefit of the doubt that they really have to cut down the numbers of invitees

Some people have that bad habit. But don't feel bad. It is their loss not yours.

You can't change how they behave but don't let them upset you. On the bright side you didn't have to buy a gift.
