Why is the best place to travel in Turkey ?

I am willing to plan a nice trip to Turkey. For sure I will visit Instabul but from there I would like to move towards interesting sites for enjoy travel and also visit cultural place, like for examples I hearded Efesus site it is very pictoresque. More south coast should be really nice for the sea. Some good suggestion for me ?
