Oh my goodness, three of us here are facing an international crisis, in a situation that will cause us such a lot of tension. Yes, I'm referring to next week's rugby world cup semi-finals, when one of the games will be played between the South African Springboks and the New Zealand All Blacks. Only one of us will be able to go through to the finals, where we'll play either Argentina or Australia.
Tension will be in the air in South Africa as @Inlemay and @bluesa face their screens, while I do the same here in New Zealand. We're both great rugby nations, and both teams have a lot of respect for each other. At least we'll be facing familiar opponents.
I've had a lot f fun interactions with the Springbok girls in recent weeks and know we both want our own team to win. This is serious stuff national pride is at stake. Who knows what will happen.

It's all in fun. I have a sister-in-law who would hardly speak to me when her Vancouver hockey team played against the team of my home city. It was ridiculous. I think your online friends will be more reasonable.

Oh, Val, it is indeed tense times. But, we will all find the strength to be brave. I will just stock up on a lot of cocktail mix! Maybe have a few brandies, who knows, my heart might survive this. I guess all that is left to say, is, may the best team win. Eek!

Friendship is thicker than rugby! Haha. I don't watch sports much. The only one I watch is badminton, when Malaysia is playing.

As long as the All Blacks are not playing the Wallabies, I will root for the All Blacks. ;), but I love listening to the South African national anthem.

@valmnz I don't usually watch the rugby but I will watch the semi finals. Yes, the Argentinians are a team to reckon with.
