Sleeping Life Away.

I had one of those days today where I literally wanted to sleep the day away and stay in bed all day and stay in my day dream world. I think the depression from feeling so tired creeped up on me today so I stayed in bed until really late. Of course I woke up with a headache and now my dad wants me to type lots of his letters for him because he is not great at using a computer.
I am sure I will snap out of the depression once I get these letters typed up and I can enjoy my Sunday the way I want too.
Do you have days where you literally want to stay in bed all day and don't want to face the world.?

I am very lucky in as much as soon as I wake up I have to get up. Sometimes I feel there are not enough hours in the day to do all the things I want to do. I can understand how very difficult it is for someone who is depressed not being able to do anything. It is no good someone telling you to pull yourself together because it is impossible. I hope you feel better now and you are ready to do what you want to do.

Depression is actually a cause of wanting to sleep all day, so it becomes a vicious circle. Wanting to sleep depresses you and depression makes you want to sleep. As a life-long sufferer of depression, I know it all too well. It's not like it once was now that I have the miracle of prescriptions helping me, but if you're not usually depressed, take the time now to avoid the cycle.

Yeah I do, I could stay in bed all week long, if only, not a morning person rather stay in bed and sleep the day away until I'm ready to roll out of bed and start the day. Hoping your depression soon goes.

I have days like that.. but I haven't spent a day in bed in over 15 years. I feel like it's a huge waste of a day. I always feel worse if I've wasted a day by doing nothing. At least if I get up and do a couple loads of laundry then I've accomplished something and I don't get as depressed.

When I was totally depressed, I actually wanted to forward time and just sleep it all up... I wish I could possibly do that.

Yeah I know what that's like. I'd force myself to wake up anyway though. A cup of coffee usually helps.

I used to want to sleep all the time and I would get into a funk sometimes, until I found my passions. Now I cannot wait to start my day! There just are not enough hours in the day to do what I want to do. Lately, I have endured a lot of obstacles, but I kind of look at it as more of a challenge, as my life situations, change day to day and hour to hour.

Most every day is like that for me. I have severe depression so it is a daily think I work with. I think that if your body needs the rest you should let it.

After my grandma got in her 90's she use to do this once a week. She called her catching up day. She said she needed her sleep to go on another year. Guess it worked she lived till she was 96. My great grandma did this too and she lived till she was 102 so to me this is a good idea to sleep and stay in bed all day if you feel like it. Doesn't seem like it hurts.
