We always have to try out the mattresses, before we buy them. I buy them from QVC, because they give you between 30 and 90 days to return mattresses.

@Tita417 It's a television channel. I do't think they have any physical stores.

Soft. I love my mattress where I sink into it each night. In the cold it makes me much warmer!

We'd love a new mattress too! Our friend tells us to invest in a good one, even if it is a bit costly - because it will be worth every penny to not have back aches and be able to sleep well. I imagine you sleeping on one gigantic brownie mattress!!

@Rosekitty Those spiffy therapeutic ones do cost a pretty penny - we looked into it. And unfortunately we could ONLY look! Well actually they had deals at the county fair, and we were able to "sample" the mattresses - ahhh, so comfy to lay down on them - we could have napped there - ha ha! But even on a deal they were still way expensive. I think a gigantic brownie mattress would be cheaper!

i have slept in an airbed before, it was fun.. until it got holes our mattresses are basically normal... maybe you can try to lie on the bed before you buy it?

@lady1993 I don't think so. These stores that we have they won't let you in fact it says there on the mattress Please don't lie down haha. We really should have that tv station @NeldaHoxie was saying so we can just return after 3 months if we don't feel too good about it.The QVC TV station.Haha I can see it now they'll be bankrupt after everyone here in the Philippines return all their mattresses back hahaha

I am afraid of backaches. I do not have them as yet, but at times I do. However, my perspiration problem forces me to lie down on floor and let the coolness of it keep my back cool. I quite like it, even though it is hard. I wonder how the caveman slept.

I should change also mine, I find it too soft. It is a pity to not be able to test a mattress when you buy it.

@Rosekitty It really is. Right now, we live in apartments that my brother manages. They are student housing and everything is furnished. We have out own living room furniture but not our bedrooms. The beds aren't that bad but I can't wait until we move and can get new bedroom furniture.

you want some firm or it hurts your back, the pillow top gives you that feel of soft while not being all smooshy and saggy. We need a new one too, but for now just put a memory foam topper on it and that's helped tons

Go to a mattress shop, ask the guy to show you all the variety and give your specification and budget to him. If he is able to find something of your choice and which fits into your budget, you could buy it else you could search for mattress in another store, if it does not work and you could continue this exercise till you get right kind of mattresses and if you are not able to get it on a single day you could start your search the next day and so on and so forth, till you succeed.

I am in need of a new mattress also. I am leaning toward a Tempur-Pedic mattress. I have tried laying down in them in the store and they are amazing. a bit pricy, but seem to be well worth it.

You really need to test-run a mattress for at least a week in order to see if it will suit you, but unfortunately they don't allow that ...unless the salesman likes brownies

In a perfect world, brownies would be an acceptable payment for anything. But mattresses are expensive. I suggest buying some material and "securing" some sort of animals lol

@Rosekitty Actually I was trying to say you should KILL the animals and use their soft furry bits for the stuffing in some material. There seems to be an abundance of stray cats.....just a suggestion lol
