Fraternity

I lost my nephew in this fraternity. He was a promising lawyer and had a lot of big dreams for his family . He was involved with a certain fraternity in their university. In fact he was an officer. The irony of his death was he was hit by a baseball bat coz he was part of that fratrrnity and there was no cause of the riot only that they came from diferent frats He was comatose for 5 days. The doctors said that if he lives he would be a vegetable forever..after 5 days he left us. The perpetuators left the country and ony 1 was sentenced for the crime of the whole organization. Till now deaths are still happening coz of these fratertinities. If you have in your country would you allow this to continue?

I am sorry for the demise of your nephew . I hope the perpetrators will all be caught someday . Good that nowadays , i seldom hear a news like that . I hope the frats will not be warring and doing hazing anymore.

It wasn't hazing that killed him it was just an ordinary riot with other frats. No big deal but it took his life and worst he wasn't really involved and they killed him Good my kids never joined frats There are still frats here but underground here in Cagayan. I hate to see more lives lost from these frats.

I am so very sorry for the loss of your nephew. I know that it has been a difficult time for you and your family. Here in the U.S., it's called hazing and it still goes on although we don't hear about it as much anymore.

he really didn't die because of hazing . They just hit him with a baseball coz he belonged to the other frat. That so sad really . He never knew what the riot was all about. He was eating his lunch and just because he was from another frat they hit him. Really sad and thank you

Oh it is terrible to be killed by a baseball bat. I dont allow it in bhere. Since there are strong people here, we would have avoided such a scene.

@rahulvsmokiee yes true we have to leave it behind because if we want to have revenge that is not good. His dad wanted to run after those guys but we told him not to coz there are more two kids that are with him and they might harm them

In my country there is no such thing as a fraternity and, from what I have seen in movies and TV, it is not something I would endorse. I am very sorry for you and your family

I am so sorry for your loss. If these frats are so dangerous why aren't the universities banning them?

thanks. He is really in peace. There was a bush that grew near his room and it was a vine that spelled the letter D which was his name Dennis. I know he's telling us his fine where is right now

@gudheart Yes it was his first letter alright and it was full of different flowers. I cannot imagine how that vine went there. It was just a bush . So beautiful really. I knew he was there and looking after his mom, my sister

Horrible, stupid things do happen when you let a group of unsupervised young men live together. Makes no sense to me.

That is so sad:(. I would hope here that something like that would be stopped-I remember on the news last year some students being expelled from University for making some comments online about a fellow student-here they seem fairly swift to act re. these things now.

I am so sorry to hear about this. I'm afraid that a lot of young men are too immature to do well in fraternities. Many bad things happen in them.
