True, many of the spectacular things that happen are attributed to God (who is said to "empower" the performers) but "we are members of Christ" (and that's not 'members' in the sense of 'people who signed up to be listed,' but more like "arms and legs"!)
That's why 'Pope Francis didn't praise Jesus in his public speeches in America' (I didn't see any of them, but a friend of mine tells me Pope Francis didn't praise Jesus in any of his public speeches)---because that's NOT what God put us here for. He put us here 'to tend his garden'---"praising him" is a principle similar to 'paying a franchise-fee.'
And--though I'm sure we all 'owe everything' to God (whether we believe or not)--Jesus didn't tell us, 'Say unto this mountain, "My Lord & Savior is a really great guy," and it will be so awestruck that it'll just faint & FALL back into the sea!'

But how can we not give praise and adoration to our savior, Jesus Christ? He paid the ultimate price for our salvation.

Oh really? What was going to happen to us, that happens to someone else instead now?

We were saved by Jesus. Without Him, we cannot get to God. He is the way the truth and the life. If someone, a leader of the church didn't find the importance of Jesus, he is not a man of God. if you can see the whole Bible, it is pointed to Jesus, the salvation and the Love of God that is with Jesus. The pope cannot mention Him because he thinks he is Jesus but nobody can do what Jesus did.

That's like saying 'we can get to Krypton by believing in Kal El' or 'We can get to Gallifrey by believing in The Doctor'

Praise the Lord! Praise God in his sanctuary; praise him in his mighty heavens! Praise him for his mighty deeds; praise him according to his excellent greatness! Praise him with trumpet sound; praise him with lute and harp! Praise him with tambourine and dance; praise him with strings and pipe! Praise him with sounding cymbals; praise him with loud clashing cymbals! ...
I will praise thee, O Lord my God, with all my heart: and I will glorify thy name for evermore.
Let everything that has breath praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Praise the Lord, all nations! Extol him, all peoples! For great is his steadfast love toward us, and the faithfulness of the Lord endures forever. Praise the Lord!
The reasons why praise is directed to Jesus Christ as much as to the Father is the fact that the Son (Jesus) is also God (see John 1:1) - the Second Person of the Trinity.
I wonder why the pope does not say anything about Jesus....

Do you think God can't think all that highfalutin stuff about HIMSELF? that "the appreciation of us mud-babies" means anything to him?
Pride doesn't so-infect the pope.
