Suggestion or not to suggest

I have a slight dilemma, as I sometimes wonder if users get annoyed with me for suggesting my posts to them. Therefore I sometimes wonder if I should hit the suggest box or not as I don't want to any users to get annoyed with me suggesting my articles to them if they don't want me too.
Do you have the same dilemma? Do you mind if I suggest posts to you?

Since the suggestions have their own little spot, no, they are not annoying. They do not fill up any other space. They don't get in the way of other notifications. The user has the option of reading through the suggestions or not. I haven't suggested anything thus far. but I see nothing wrong with it. When I only have ea few minutes to kill here and want to read a few posts, i tend to just hop on the suggestions first.

I quite like getting suggestions, but if I am bombarded with lots from the same person I may ignore them altogether. So you are welcome to send yours to me, but to the maximum of one per day. I only suggest to those that suggest to me, as I know it won't annoy them.

Some people work from suggestions, some use other methods. I don't even look at mine so it doesn't matter who suggests what. But if the system were not working properly, I might use suggestions as a way to find new posts. So I don't mind either way.

I like the suggestion option. Once I started using it I have gotten into the habit because I don't want to miss anyone's answer. Plus, you make more when this option is used I think.

@Drosophila ..I could keep on interacting but others may eventually hit back at me sometime. I have been here for more than 5 years now, with less than 400 posts to show..lol. I simply can't come up with a good one.

I know what you mean. I'm not sure when or to whom I should suggest. But feel free to suggest your posts to me, when we don't want to read them, there's nothing lost.

I suggest my post to people i know can add some value to the discussion at hand. Not to everyone on my list. Neither should anyone else do that because if bumping up you earnings is the sole priority you have, people will soon enough see that and start ignoring your posts and discussions. So make it interesting and invite the right people and I don''t think anyone will have a problem with that.

@gudheart Then just keep sending requests. Those who wanna comment, will do so and those who don't can always ignore.

I actually prefer suggested post, helps me catch up with my followers and I comment here and there and they do the same back, and I suggest all of my post an hour after posting them

Personally i get annoyed when people who never bother to visit my discussions keep suggesting their to me but when you visit mine i visit yours i find no problem. On the other hand i don;t suggest my discussions to anyone but i let those who love them read them.

I certainly feel the same way, and so therefore, I have only suggested one discussion since being back. i don't want to send any discussion to anyone that might not want it. I don't mind getting them, as there are discussions there, that I might not see otherwise. That isn't saying that I respond to all of them, as I don't. I never know what they are about though until I get them and read them, and then I decide if I will respond or just delete the suggestions and move on.

@gudheart Oh please don't worry about that I look through them and then erase them and will still come to visit so its a non-issue.

I wrote about this earlier. I get very annoyed with people who suggest dozens of discussions. One a day is enough for me...anything more I just ignore them. I find suggesting the same as being pushy.

Suggested posts annoy me - especially from people who I have nothing in common with who bombard me with multiple suggestions of posts. I am more than capable of looking for posts that I want to read myself.
If I get sent a suggestion for a post, I will not view it, I will not comment on it and I will unfollow the user who sent the suggestion to me!
