Schwan's Home Delivery Service - Good News!

If you ever ordered food from Schwan's Home Serivce you know that you probably paid a hefty shipping fee. Well, the good news is that starting November 1st any order under $49.99 will pay $1.75 fee and orders over $49.99 will ship for free.
That means you have more money to spend on the food and not on the shipping! I have purchased steak, chicken pot pies and some other items from them the last few months. I think now I'll wait until November 1st to place another order and save that shipping.

That sounds great but I never order food online. It's way too far to ship it here to me. Glad to hear they finally have lowered their prices.

For you it would not be cost effective. For me it is and since we don't have many places to buy decent meats it means we get a steak we don't have to throw int he trash.

@AbbyGreenhill This is a great idea to get the meat you want to eat and a good piece of meat at that. I agree not cost effective for me at all.

Never ordered from them but might have to check in to it. I see their truck around from time to time but never really looked into it. I often wondered if it was expensive or not.

@sbttw2003 You do earn the points, so it sorta evens out a little. My husband had the lasagna, he said it was very good.

It is a little on the high side, but you earn points for every dollar you spend. Right now I have about $12 that I will use the next time I order. Plus if you are AARP member you get double points!

They ship it, we don't get it by truck. It comes packed in dry ice.

We love soft pretzels and they have very good ones.
