I believe new engineers like me should be more exposured to industries n current process going on.it should be made a part of our curriculum.
The gap created between the university education and actual industry condition is immense.
Is integrating compulsory internship in the curriculum one way of reducing this gap? Any other ways?

In the UK most science/engineering degree courses can be done with an optional additional year spent on a (usually paid) placement with a company. My son has just completed his placement year of his Chemistry Masters Degree and found the workplace experience invaluable!
