The child is studying - Final Big examinations for University but she is grumpy and stressed like catgut - an expression when one is "Stressed out beyond description. From the use of catgut to make violins"
I decided to help her along this week with dinners of Greens - there are many brain foods, but greens come up best.
Tonight we had Green Tai Curry with a lovely green salad. Tomorrow she will be served some sushi - the fishy kind as Fish is full of " EPA and DHA in a ready-made form, which enables the body to use it easily. The main sources of oily fish include salmon, trout, mackerel, herring, sardines, pilchards and kippers."
She will be eating the Salmon kind sushi.
How do you prepare your children for BIG examinations and help them achieve their goals?
Do you know any other brain foods??

The only thing you can do is support her and be there when she needs it. Brain food. Hmm You have to have a good brain in the first place.!

@Inlemay When I grew up in post-war GDR (German Democratic Republic) there was no junk food. There was little good food, either. There was no real milk to be had, only skimmed milk. This was not sold so that people could slim! The fat was used to make butter. If my grandparents hadn't had an allotment and a goat and rabbits, it would have been really hard for us.

We have some herbs here that are supposed to improve one's memory. I prepare a chutney with different herbs and some other ingredients. Here is a link that talks about food suiting our different organs

@Inlemay Thanks! You were doing so wonderful with the other stuff, it got me to thinking and I remembered the care packages from my gram with my favorite cookies right before finals.

Pumpkin seeds are a good source for protein, magnesium and zinc which are important for concentration and thinking ability and are very good for the memory. Banana is also good for relaxation because it has substances that increase serotonin levels. Some science studies found out that curry do magic for the brain. Also some sugar is important too especially in the morning, but too much sugar is doing the opposite thing of course.
