Sometimes The Little Things mean a Lot

A couple of days, before my birthday which was oct 18, a young lady that lives in the same apt that I do drop by and honor me with a birthday gifts! an d homemade lamp and a book of prayer. The lamp was small mason jar with lid and inside is different colors clear rocks and is has a UL cord attach to it. When you turn it on and slit up the room with many different colors. The prayer-book is very uplifting to read and it helps me with my depression.
Even though I love the birthday gifts from my husband their is something special about a little homemade lamp and a prayer book that is very very dear to me.

How very kind. Thoughtfulness seems to be a thing that is of the past. You don't see it very often anymore. When I grew up my family was very close with all the neighbors. Now days you don't see that much. Sad that things have changed so much.

@snowqueen200802 ....I think we really have to raise our kids in kindness and make sure that our little corner of the world is over flowing with it. Then, perhaps, it will have a come back.
