Brr ! It’s So Cold At The Office !

Forgive this old woman in me . for taking this selfie , that I attached . I just want you to know that this how I am garbed at our office room , because it’s so cold in my table place , where I share with my new boss. Yesterday , I requested that the centralized airconditioner , switched off momentarily , because I was really so cold , my fingers have numbed . My boss doesn’t feel it because he is at my former table’s place where the cold is not much because it’s far from the outlet of the air of the airconditioner and he is always out of the room whenever he is at the office. The Accounting Department though , complained that it’s hot on their place already , so it was switched on . So , I just placed my shawl like that in the picture . It was better . Brr !

Oh my, poor you, I hate to work in a place where the air conditioning is too cold. May you ask to move your table in a warmer place?

We cannot move the table anymore because it's just a small room and the new boss wants my former place . I think i will ask the Operation & Maintenance Dept . to do something to lessen the coldness at my area . But with that shawl and a cardigan , it's already okay .

Here it is hot outside when you go out of the office to go to the comfort room . It's only inside our office room and some department rooms .

@fufurinha Good for you . Our weather is only the wet and dry season . It's rainy on some days but when it's not raining it's hot outside . Do you have four seasons there ?

That's the boss place . But anyway , with that shawl on my head , i am now feeling better . I like it when it's cold , but not sooo cold though .

Okay just place your shawl that way all day long. It becomes you anyway. And why is it that the aircon in your place is just concentrated in your place?

Yes, with that shawl on my head like that and my cardigan i feel better . I don't know why , but the outlet was by my former place where my boss is now . During those time I always would still use my small electric fan but the chubby officemate formerly occupying my place now , don't feel hot at all. So i know now and when i told her how cold it is at her former place she laughed out loud .

You are verry lovely/ What a nice picture. You sure do look warmer now. I don't understand why some companies set their air conditioner to really cold temperatures. I love air conditioning, but not so cold that I am freezing. I never had air conditioning this summer though, and it was blasting hot in my house. Now that it is much cooler, I don't need fans or air conditioning.

@SIMPLYD I have been places too, where the air conditioning was way to cold, and I didn't have a jacket with me, and I wish I had. I know when it is hot outsiede, you want to be comfortable inside, but not froze out

Thank you for your compliment . Good for you that its much cooler there and no need for fan or air conditioning . That's how it is with offices here in the Philippines . The air conditioning is in full blast , to contrast the heat outside . So , the employees should make sure that they bring with them blazers or jackets with hoods and also shawls to combat the too much coldness.

Do not apologize for attaching a selfie with this post. You are beautiful! It is a nice picture. I took my kids to Chuck E Cheese on Sunday for my sons birthday and it was so very cold in there. They obviously have not turned the heat on this season and it was snowing outside. We were all sitting around in our coats in there freezing.

I would rather have it too cold, because you can always put on more clothes. I think you will need to keep warm things to wear at your desk.

I share the same opinion as you . So i have a jacket with hood and a cardigan draped on the back of my office chair . And i have two shawls . I am ready in case the air conditioning gets too cold. I love it when it's cold than when it's hot .

How pretty you are..I am jealous! I think they have air ducts blocked and or you are stationed closer to where the a/c unit is so it flows colder closer to you than the others..The others are farther away and that might be where the blockage is. Turn off fans if you have them on..turn air vent in other direction if it is facing you..then you should be cosier..

You look good. You say it is central airconditioning which should spread equally. If you are saying you are at the outlet may be you can change its direction. Just thinking.

You are well preserved ! If you had an upright air conditioning at your office ,instead of the centralized airconditioner, you would lower the temperature to that you want .

Indeed , if it is those split type airconditioners , i can easily turn the temperature up. But with centralized one , you just have to strategize how to cope up with the cold.

Weird though that the vent or outlet is by the side of my former place yet before when i was there i would still be sometimes using my table electric fan . I guess , i don't have that many fats as my former room mate at the office is .

That's the thing about centralized air conditioning. At my previous workplace most of the ladies had a pashmina draped over the office chair because it can get very cold. It made the chairs look pretty colorful though.

I actually drank a cup of caramel flavored coffee during snack time . But with the shawl on my head like that , i am already okay . At the HR Dept . they have those caps of the kids which have different animal forms , on their heads. This one is better because for sure my new handsome boss would really laugh at me if i am in them also.

I have the coldest room in our office. It's the IT room / server room So we have to maintain its cold temperature to prevent the servers from overheating. Problem is, when I go out of the office, its scorching hot in the past couple of days, and my body has started to feel the ill effect of the extreme temperature changes
