Baking Sandwich bread

I've been using a bread machine for a few years now. We love the raisin bread I make, but when I've tried to make a plain bread for sandwiches it's always been too crumbly - breaks apart too easily. I contacted the Baker Chat line at King Arthur and they suggested trying one of their sandwich bread recipes. The main difference is a bit more water and adding olive oil and vital wheat gluten. I'm baking it now, and it sure smells good, but I wonder if those ingredients will make the difference.

I am not sure that those ingredients will make the difference, but surely the bread will taste good.

Yeah, it always tastes good, but we need it to stay together for sandwiches.

It turned out perfectly. Dense and firm - we'll have no problem making our veggie sandwiches with this. Tastes great too!

@pcunix I am glad it worked, I like to add a tablespoon of virgin olive oil, or butter into my home made bread. It tastes so good.
