Baking Sandwich bread

I've been using a bread machine for a few years now. We love the raisin bread I make, but when I've tried to make a plain bread for sandwiches it's always been too crumbly - breaks apart too easily.
I contacted the Baker Chat line at King Arthur and they suggested trying one of their sandwich bread recipes. The main difference is a bit more water and adding olive oil and vital wheat gluten. I'm baking it now, and it sure smells good, but I wonder if those ingredients will make the difference.

Yeah, it always tastes good, but we need it to stay together for sandwiches.
