Bubblews are currently not of a mind to talk to us! Some news from them!

Just had a message on Bubblews from a moderator - I have asked her if she can enlighten us - the contributors of site, about what is happening in regards to the future of the site and outstanding redemptions.
She is not giving much at all - but here is her response.
Have you ever heard the expression, 'you are barking up the wrong tree'? The ONLY ones who can answer that question are currently not of a mind to do so.
Now what she means by currently not of a mind to do so is a bit dubious - either the admins there have lost their minds and had a breakdown, or they are just not mindful of people wanting to know answers!

It's not a good reply at all. I view moderators of forums / websites as being "front of house" and "customer service liason" I understand that she may not know the answers but, she is a paid member of staff and a) should not be condescending and b) attempt to answer the queries.
I think that there are many unhappy people on that site - or rather, were many unhappy people (now are all over here), and they are just pushing even more people away!

@AbbyGreenhill Thats true! When I previously asked nameless what was going on - her reply was
Your only game is to stir up malcontent. I wonder why you waste your time so
That is not true - my "only game" is to stand on the sidelines and watch the inevitable outcome!

Goodness, that was a very disappointing reply. I have money in my bank there, but feel I will never receive my money or even reach redemption.

@destry I think you are correct. They know that their TOS does not completely protect them their obligations toward their members, and that there could be a lot of letters and phone calls from lawyers (and perhaps other organizations) if they don't make things right. They may have been "advised" to lay low for now.

@TheHorse I think many people couldn't be bothered to take legal action as individuals, any lawyer worth using would charge far more than any individual outstanding redemption. The only way it would be cost effective for the little guy to take on bubblews would be for people to come together for a mass civil action!

That's typical so I don't know why people continue to stay there and take it. I left long ago and sure glad I did.

@AbbyGreenhill I think you mean glutton - but I liked the freudian slip. Plenty of people feeling gluten-intollerent towards the jokers who run the site.

to my most limited knowledge, bear, tyler 'n val 're no longer with that place. i've heard the latter 2 're with 'that other thingy' they invented (term used loosely...) 'n 's fer mr. bear? not a clue where he went. jason went back up north 'n arvind's in the wind. the moderator's tryin' to fly a blind ship. she's no authority o'er payments 'n is purty much a paid mushroom...unlike the writers there who aint paid. ya know, kept in the dark 'n fed sh**?

This message has the distinct tone of a person who is sick and tired of fielding questions which she can't answer herself and which she can't get any sensible answers to from her bosses.
Maybe she's still getting her paycheck but it's clear she's already pretty sick of the job and is only doing it because it's something that is still paying (I wouldn't imagine that it's anything like a full-time income, however!)

I do not try to talk to them. I just pop in from time to time to contribute a little and read a little.

@destry she has either been left in the dark herself on the matter or ordered to say nothing and left holding the fort

Very unprofessional, but there again, that website has never oozed professionalism!

I'm thinking that they have moved on, and I think that most of us have also. If they don't even have the common courtesy to address our concerns, which have been on-going for months now, then they aren't worth my time. I lost out on a 55 dollar redemption, but at least it was only 1 redemption.

'Customer service' was never their strong point, and if that's possible it's simply gotten worse and every email I send about my outstanding payment, returns the same old Auto-response email, Nameless is a good title for a moderator, along with Faceless for the rest of the Phantom team, who also seem to have made our earnings vanish, into the ether!

@EddieHands Yep, they may be throwing lavish parties, but I doubt they're sleeping well, even if their beds are nice.

The moderators reply is a bit snarky but tells us she is becoming just as frustrated by the lack of response from admin there as the rest of us. I have a feeling admin has mostly abandoned the site in favor of more rewarding endeavors. I remember reading recently that several of the staff had moved on to greener pastures.

That is horrible! I am going to make sure to make copies of all of my original contributions to that site and not waste my time anymore. It is disgusting that I have put in nearly 3 years to that site and they have treated us so disrespectfully.

That is a worrisome response. This is the first article I have read here. I have a current Bubblews account, but have not been very active in months.
