Do you think social media can expose you?

Most of us are on Facebook and if you are like me you log in now and then to check how people are doing. I have seen the trend of people posting pics of where they are and how they are doing. You can easily tell how one is doing financially and socially. Others keep posting things about their relationships and stuff. I find it so exposing. Do you think it is?

@Missmwngi I don't mind sharing pics with my friends. Mostly they are shots of nature. me, my hubby or our cat.

I don't think it is exposing if its only meant for your real friends to see or read. The privacy settings will ensure of that. But of course if your account was hacked then it is a different story then. Another thing is that to protect yourself, limit your personal information.

I think you should only post what you want them to know. I work with people everyday for four years that I don't know their LAST NAME. Yet, on Facebook, I find out they like to stick sparklers up their butt while singing "Light My Fire" on July 4th lmao

@spleedingo1 some people end up posting it all and you cannot help but find out about them on Facebook. Actually there are people you just check Fb to know how they are doing

And that is the reason I don't do fb. I fear that personal information can easily get into the wrong hands

It does sometimes surprise me what people post. I hardly use facebook, and make sure the privacy setting is for friends only.

I am also surprised at how far people can go with social media. Somethings you read and you kind of fail to understand the person who posted it

I don't like the idea of telling the world all the details of my private life. I don't tell everything even to my best friends! So I have never joined FB.
