Here a just a few books I have read.
I am now reading Cross Bones by Kathey Reichs. It's a great book to lounge around with when a person isn't feeling good. That's me. A cold has gotten ahold of me.
I have read Peter Benchley's White Shark, Toast Mortem by Claudia Bishop (a cozy mmystery)Glazed Murder by Jessica Beck.
For people into yoga and cozy mysteries, Murder on the Eightfold Path by Dianna Killian.
I normally don't read current books, but if you
got them, love to hear about it and put it on my list, What are you reading?

Reichs? that sounds family, is she the one the series bones is loosely based on?

I have read Peter Benchley's White Shark (I had just finished Jaws, so thought it was a continuation of that book. It wasn't! ), Jaws (of course) and Beast.) He can definitely keep your attention from roaming while (and shortly afterwards) away from what is important, if you understand what I mean?!
I read a lot of Science Fiction, Sci-Fi/Fantasy plus almost everything else... the only books I am really not interested in reading are Biographical or Auto-Biographical. Both CAN read like fiction (and probably that is the section they SHOULD be put into at the libraries, but I am not interested in how others want us to perceive them... I will make up my own mine on that without their input, thank you!)
My favorite author is Piers Anthony. He has written books in a wide array of categories, but all his books are fascinating to read and some are quasi-educational... I have loved everything he has written!
Very nice subject matter! Thanks... I may steal your idea at some later date!

@DaddyEvil I can't agree about autobiographies and biographies - I love to read about real people.

@wetnosedogs When I was younger, I was into romance books but they have since lost their appeal to me as I have found them to be predictable.

Good list, the only author I recognize is Kathy Reichs.
I listen to books on CD while I paint. I just finished Jodi Picoult's Leaving Time. It was fascinating and kept me painting because I loved the book.
The one I'm listening to now is a murder mystery called the 14th Deadly Sin by James Patterson. its ok, he's a good author but the book is not going to be one I remember.

I used to be a big reader - but I have not read a book in ages. I never seem to make the time, I am either rushing around, sleeping or playing on line!

I have long forgotten what reading is. I have no time. I would rather spend that spare time in my garden which beckons me with surprises galore each time I stroll around.

@wetnosedogs right now I'm reading some of my old favorites. Like The Woman in White and Hollywood Wives. These are books I have read before and am reading again just to get back into the pleasure of quiet reading. Don't know any of the latest books. Reading is a really nice pleasure and very relaxing. Hope you feel much better soon.

@wetnosedogs The Woman in White is a classic by Wilkie Collins. A really nice mystery, It has also been made into a movie you can check on YouTube but best to read the book first. Hollywood Wives is interesting about the movers and shakers in Hollywood and Beverly Hills it's by Jackie Collins. No connections of course between these two authors.

I hope you are feeling better soon, having a cold sure can be miserable. I love to read and am sorry to say I have not been doing enough of it lately. I read a variety of things including mystery, murder, thrillers, adventure, romance. I love the John Sandford prey series books.
