For the last three days my dog Honey, the 3 year old hasn't been able to keep any food down but she has been drinking water and keeping that down.
She seems to be feeling okay in every other way.
I took her to the vet this morning and they ran tests Blood, CBC,Electrolyte SA and examined her.
The vet is supposed to call me this afternoon with the results of the tests, I am waiting and praying it is nothing too serious.
The vet examined her tummy and it seemed to be normal, not tender at all.
She was so good while they were doing the examines and taking blood work.

I hope it's nothing serious. Here when this one happens it's normally some sort of gastro problem that effects the dogs. They end up with some shots and pills to take. If you don't catch it soon enough on puppies they can die from this.

@Marcyaz WOW you feed your dog 2 large meals a day? Isn't that too much food? I was told years back for the first 6 months puppies get feed twice a day after this once a day either morning or night. I feed my dogs at night and only once a day not two or three times. Good luck hope your dog feels better soon.

That is a matter of concern really.Hope your Vet will be able to sort it out.
Our little one (not really little she is 8 going on 9) is losing her coat. She is on treatment. Normally she has a silky coat. Hope she will get her coat back.

I am glad that you have taken her to the vets. Has there been any change in her food recently, ie, swapping to a different brand? Have you ruled out psychosomaticism? Any changes within the house that may have upset her?
Is the vomit partly digested, bile or clear? Are her stools normal?
Does she have any known food allergies? It might be worth asking the vet for a food allergy test - dogs are prone to allergies, especially cereals which is the main ingredient in most supermarket brand dog foods. .
Sorry to ask so many questions . . . I am sure that it is nothing to serious.

I'm sorry that Honey isn't feeling so well. Ask the vet if you can give her a little chicken broth to keep her electrolytes up, and then eventually you should be able to add a little rice to it to get her tummy used to food again. Keep us posted on her condition and the vet's findings.

Have you tried giving her Sprite. That is what the vet told us to do when one of ours got so sick. It helped him at the time.. And he got okay.

I hope your little baby gets better soon. I have two labs and I love them like babies of mine. They go everywhere I go. And I do a lot of walking and going down to the creek and they love walking down there with me. They are my buddies. Prayiing for your fur baby.

Our vet said sometimes dogs are choosy, maybe that's the reason why it doesn't want to eat?

She could just be feeling sick, just like people, dogs get under the weather too. It happens. Hopefully everything turns out well. Will you update us when the results are in? Sending healing vibes for her!
