It finally really feels like Autumn here in Northern California

Last night was one of those nights when I could feel the chilly air on my body as I slept. I think I dreamed of being cold, woke up, and pulled my comforter up to my neck before falling back asleep.
We're expecting a high in the 80s here in the East Bay (away from the ocean), but I could tell it was in the 50s last night. I just checked, and the low was 53.
By Winter, we'll have some lows in the 20s here, not cold by Midwestern standards, but colder than we're experiencing now.
Is the season changing where you live?

I'll have to check and see where you live. It only says United States next to your name. But if 70 seems warm, I'm guessing the Midwest or back East. I saw on TV (as I watched the Mets blow out my Cubbies) that it was really cool in NY last week.

First time this season for a little ice film on the windshield this morning. We turned the heat on, too.

We've been having lower temps this last week or so. Had to turn the heat on earlier this year than I usually do but my aching cold bones were causing me to have arthritis pain. I don't really care for that happening so I turned the heat on and covered me up with a blanket instead of my sheet. The Almanac says we are in for a cold one this year. Sorry to say.

It gets MUCH colder in the Midwest and East than here in California. I am still OK with real cold. But I like being able to hike and such through the Winter here in CA. I do miss the Seasons on the Midwest. We have them here, but they're more subtle.
