How and why should we use tags?

Tags are important because they help categorize your post, help others find it and determines who will see it in their "interesting" list. For instance, I will tag your discussion - mylot, tags, discussions, interesting. And that is just how you enter tags, as lower case words separated by commas. The tags you use most often determine which posts are in your interesting list because the system searches for posts with tags that match those yourwrite or interact with most often. So, use tags. Very important.

Lol! even i dont use tags. Tags helps us to get in the interesting section.But i dont wanted to get that much of response and views. I am here just get some company and glad i can do it without tags.

I really don't know. I use them when I create a new discussion but I don't really use them on my responses.

The tags help other people find your posts ... which are important as more people join the site.

I'm still new here and learning too.

Just type in the tag box all the areas your post covers. I am not sure how to tag people to comments.
