Date afternoon with my husband

It's a rare day when my husband and I have a clear afternoon like today. We are going to seize the moment. He's taking me to dinner and a movie. It's important for us to have a date day now and then to reconnect.
I'm excited about the movie. The local theater reopened this past summer. It sat empty for awhile before being purchased. The building was gutted and it looks brand new inside. The soft stadium seats cradle you gently. Hubby likes the sound system.
The only problem was in finding a movie that isn't related to Halloween. I'd like to go to one that doesn't try to scare me to death. The one possibility that we found features Vin Diesel. I hope it has lots of explosions and great CGI. We'll see shortly.
What about you? How do you reconnect with your special someone?

That sounds like a beautiful thing to do. Connecting like this just helps make the world more bearable for us. It must do the same for you as well.

@gaylesglimpses Yes my hubby and I need our alone time. My Mom can not help it but living with her and her aging/forgetting process is stressful at times. Like living with your job 24/7.

Often we go for long drives. Lots of times eating out is a good time for us as well.

Dinner out is always great. There's something special about no dishes. Lots of restaurants have coupons and that can really cut the cost.

We always talk since we reconciled. I like to hear his stories about his past girlfriends but he don't like my stories hahahaha
